Email templates to your MP on the climate crisis

It is time to write and spend – 2 mins max- some time to reach out to our local MPs and representatives and fill their inboxes on how we feel about the climate crisis. We have marched the streets, we have changed our ways, it is time to let them know, we want change and if we don’t see it as soon as, we will leave and vote for those who will at least try to tackle the issue.

Find below 2 email templates – #1 for just a general email and #2 which can be personalised as much as possible if you would like to add anything extra.

General email

Subject line – Take action on Climate Change

Dear____________MP

We are in a climate emergency, yet this crisis is being over-shadowed by political paralysis.

I believe that the UK’s current action on the matter is insufficient. We must limit the impact of climate change before it is too late. The world is already 1 degree hotter than it was compared to pre-industrial times, and we are on course to be 1.5 degrees hotter by 2030. I find this deeply concerning . As my MP, I am asking you to call for stronger action on climate change.

Please, challenge the government more strongly and support positive solutions as soon as possible.

I will be using all future votes to support elected officials committed to the climate crisis, and I will be vocal in encouraging others to do the same. I await your response with anticipation.

Your name.
